Why
Why Passed Forward?
If a photo is worth a thousand words, adding a voice to those words is priceless.

This is a photograph of my Grandparents, Robert and Ella.
I lost them when I was 18. They both passed away within a couple of weeks of each other. Robert, who had suffered with dementia, succumbed to age and time, Ella, too proud to accept help, succumbed to the immense toll of caring for him until his last moments, and the heartbreak of losing him.
It is of course part of the cycle of life, but that didn’t make it any easier for 18-year-old me to come to terms with.
Now, decades later, in my 40’s with kids of my own, their faces remain clear in my mind, but their voices? Their laughter? The way they told stories?
Those things, I no longer remember, and in many ways, realizing that felt like losing them all over again. There’s nothing I wouldn’t give to hear their voices again.
That is why I created Passed Forward.
For me, the importance of having that connection to our past to the people we hold closest cannot be overstated.
Whether it’s a grandparent, with so much wisdom and experience to share, or a new parent full of the love, hope and excitement that a newborn brings, my mission is simple, to ensure your voice and legacy are preserved, so that your family can treasure them forever.
I think there is something quietly reassuring in knowing that long after you are gone, you will still be seen and heard. That your family will always have that tangible connection to their history, through your voice.
That is something you deserve, because your memories deserve a future.
But how does it all work? Let's look at What we do.
